Updates to CRISPR Design Tools

somakrdas

Last year, we announced Benchling's genome engineering platform. Today, we're releasing improvements that make our CRISPR design tools even easier to use. You can find a step-by-step guide here.

Complete off-target analysis faster

We've increased the number of guides that can be simultaneously scored from 20 to 50. To make it easier for you to batch requests for off-target analysis, we've also added a "Select Next 50" button. Click it to quickly select the first 50 guides that have not been scored yet.

Export gRNA and off-target analysis data

After you've chosen gRNAs that target the correct location, you can export them by clicking the "Copy Selected" button. This copies their location, strand, bases, PAM, and score in tab-separated format for pasting into Excel. You can click on a guide's score to open its off-target analysis and export off-target sites as well.

As before, you can save the gRNAs to a primer library, share the primer library with colleagues, and export it to CSV for ordering.

Choose from new genomes

We've added the genomes for P. falciparum 3D7 (pfal3D7), rat (rn5), and A. thaliana (TAIR10) to our platform. If you have suggestions or would like to see a new genome added, drop us a line at support@benchling.com.
